About the Friends today:

The Friends' achievements reflect the hard work, dedication, skills, time and energy provided by a small band of willing and enthusiastic helpers with a keen interest in theatre.

Not only are the working bees attended by thirty or more people, but other costs are kept down with Friends performing front of house duties, including ushering, door-keeping and even, from time to time, minding restless babies so that their parents can enjoy a show in peace. Future plans include trying to get more equipment backstage, increasing the number of flats available so they can make up more than two separate rooms, adding in some smart lights and a great deal more. The flats, lights and boards are all included in theatre hire and enable the Friends, who often do the setting up, to raise more money to put back into theatre redevelopment.
